FAQs

What is the advantage of using a virtual designer?

  • We plan the design and you implement it. That means you benefit from the experience and expertise of a designer, but save thousands of dollars in fees related to ordering and installation.

Is virtual design a good fit for me?

Virtual design is a great fit for the following clients:

  • You can provide accurate measuments and photos of your space (we will provide a guide for you).

  • You prefer to order all of our recommended furniture and accessories yourself (we will provide you with a detailed list of all items with links to purchase them).

  • You can see to the delivery and installation of your design (we will provide you with detailed instructions on placement).

Who is not a good fit for virtual design?

  • If you need a hands-off approach and would like to have the designer in charge of all aspects including ordering, tracking and installation, virtual design is not for you. I would recommend that you find a fabulous local designer to work one-on-one with in your community.

  • If you need any custom items. Custom items would need to be handled locally by you or a workshop. These items include custom drapery and custom furniture, etc.

Will you work with my contractor?

  • For liability purposes we cannot work with or recommend contractors. However, we will provide you with all needed information so that you can communicate the design to your contractor.

What if I don’t like the design?

  • I can say with confidence that we have a fantastic track record of clients who return to work with us on more projects! We really do our best to nail it!

  • We invest the needed time up front to listen to your vision, review inspiration photos, and consider the needs of your space. This is paramount to a successful design.

  • Two revisions are included in the fee for the design to allow for tweaks. After that additional revisions are available at our hourly rate.
